Biofeedback pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation works to improve pelvic floor muscle strength by helping patients learn to control and contract the proper muscle groups. Electrical muscle stimulation involves delivering a small electric current to the pelvic floor muscles to produce appropriate contractions.

We offer the Urostym® (combination of biofeedback with electrical muscle stimulation) pelvic floor rehabilitation system for the non-surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence in women and men. During these treatment sessions, we will evaluate your muscle strength and instruct you on how to properly isolate and exercise the pelvic floor muscles. A computer is used to guide and monitor your progress. This treatment helps improve pelvic floor muscle contraction strength, decrease unwanted bladder muscle contractions, and aid with normalizing pelvic muscle relaxation.
