An outpatient procedure typically performed at a hospital to examine the biliary symtem (ducts coming from the liver, gallbladder and pancreas) for disease and treatment. This is performed with the aid of a special type of x-ray, called fluoroscopy. Typical indications for ERCP are stone removal from bile ducts, stricture removal or evaluation of abnormal ducts.
