At a young age Evans Tran, PA-C began community service by volunteering at Long Beach Memorial where she was exposed to patient care and the various careers in healthcare. This volunteering experience propelled Evans to enroll in California State University, Long Beach where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development in 2010. While in college, she gained additional healthcare experience by completing the Clinical Care Extender Internship Program at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She also participated in conservation projects with mentally disabled people in New Zealand and read to children with HIV in South Africa.

Upon her return to the United States, Evans completed her Master’s in Science of Physician Assistant at Western University of Health Sciences Pomona, CA and passed the California Board exam in 2012 to become a board-certified Physician Assistant.

She began her career at Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center where she worked alongside Dr. Robert G. Pugach in Los Alamitos, CA. She led the bladder control program and assisted with the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of urological problems, including but not limited to, recurrent bladder infections, enlarged prostate, kidney stones, male hormonal deficiency and replacement and urological cancers. She also served as a first assist in urological surgeries and performed minor in-office procedures. In addition, Evans mentored prospective PA students, spent many years offering shadow experiences, and devoted much of her time to educating students about the PA profession.

In 2020, Evans was elected as a faculty member for Teleflex, manufacturer of the Urolift system for non-surgical treatment of BPH, where she has been leading speaking engagements and training Advanced Care Providers.

Evans joined our team at West Coast division of Genesis in 2022. She continues with her passion to help those most in need of healthcare. She is a member of the Philippines Medical Society of Northern California where she travels annually to provide urological and surgical care to the underserved indigenous people of the Philippines. During her mission work, she also teaches pre-med students the proper techniques of surgical scrubbing.

On her off time, Evans enjoys traveling, working out, spending time with her loved ones and exploring new eateries.
