What is eCoin?

Dr. Shelby Morrisroe graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA, studying human physiology. She then went on to receive her medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.

Dr. Morrisroe completed her urologic surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences Center in Pennsylvania in 2009. She then completed a two-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA, training under the world-renowned pelvic floor surgeon, Dr. Shlomo Raz. This fellowship is recognized by both the American Board of Urology and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

As the only female urologist in the South Bay, Dr. Morrisroe offers a unique and personal approach to urologic health care for both men and women. She offers comprehensive evaluation and management for all forms of pelvic pathology, with a focus on urine and fecal leakage issues, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, overactive bladder, chronic pelvic pain, recurrent urinary tract infections, among others. She also treats patients with prior failed pelvic floor reconstructions, including complications resulting from the use of vaginal and/or urethral synthetic mesh. She also specializes in minimally-invasive procedures for many of these conditions. From the simplest urinary tract infection to complex fistula disease to pelvic organ prolapse, Dr. Morrisroe is trained to diagnose and treat any and all female urologic issues.

Dr. Morrisroe is originally from Sacramento, California but is happy to now call the South Bay her home.
